ABOUT PJ
PJ Bennett is a two-time Emmy award winner with over 15 years of film and television experience. He was the chief engineer for Skycam and developed the Actioncam and Supracam cable camera systems. These systems have been used on some of the highest rated sports productions over the last decade, including multiple years for the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, The Players Championship and the US Open (both golf and tennis), and the Olympic games in London and Sochi, Russia.
PJ has a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and specializes in developing specialty camera systems and providing these unique cameras through his Supracam production company. In addition to live sports production, his camera systems have been included in a variety of entertainment events, including the NFL and NBA Draft Shows, ACMA Awards, Oscars, Taylor Swift Red music video, and many others.
PJ’s two Emmy awards were earned as part of Super Bowl 50 and Super Bowl LII, both of which used the Supracam two point system in novel ways to enhance the overall broadcast.
In addition to broadcast productions, PJ has developed advanced motion control systems for feature film productions, including James Cameron’s Avatar sequels. PJ continues to leverage his experience with on-set film production and advanced camera systems technology to help bring new perspectives to feature films and short form documentaries.
